Our team
Occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and therapy assistants — all pediatric, all here in Wilmington. Several have been with us more than a decade, so families often see the same familiar face for years.

OTR/L · Lead Occupational Therapist
A licensed and registered occupational therapist.
With us since 2007Karen grew up in upstate New York and earned her occupational therapy degree at Keuka College in 1997. She found OT through volunteering, and liked that it combined science, creativity, and helping people. She's been part of this team for nearly 20 years.
OTR/L · Occupational Therapist
A licensed and registered occupational therapist.
With us since 2010Courtney has worked in pediatrics since 2002, in clinics, homes, and schools. She has a special interest in working with children on the autism spectrum — one of her own children is autistic. She is SIPT certified, an advanced qualification in sensory integration testing.

With us since 2014A North Carolina native, Laurel discovered occupational therapy while studying at UNC Chapel Hill and earned her OT degree in 2013. She works across the clinic, homes, and schools, with a focus on autism, developmental delay, sensory processing, epilepsy, and functional vision.

Jackie grew up in New Jersey and has lived in North Carolina for several years. She studied exercise science at Immaculata University and earned her master's in occupational therapy from Lenoir-Rhyne University. She decided on OT at 16, after seeing what it did for her father following several strokes.

Alexa grew up right here in Wilmington and earned her occupational therapy assistant degree at Cape Fear Community College in 2025. She loves working with children and watching how they see the world.

A nationally certified speech-language pathologist with a master's degree.
Susan earned her master's in speech-language pathology from the University of Rhode Island in 1996 and has always worked with children. She has a special interest in children on the autism spectrum. As she puts it, her aim isn't to get children to relate "typically," but to enter their world and build a bond that encourages communication everywhere.

M.Ed., CCC-SLP · Speech-Language Pathologist
A nationally certified speech-language pathologist with a master's degree.
With us since 2018Lila earned her master's in speech-language pathology from the University of Virginia and worked with children in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Philadelphia before settling in Wilmington. She's especially drawn to children with oral motor and sensory challenges, childhood apraxia of speech, and feeding difficulties. Her approach is play-based and built around each family's routines.

SLPA · Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
A certified speech assistant, working under a licensed speech therapist.
Ashley is originally from upstate New York and has called coastal North Carolina home for over a decade. She earned her degree in speech and hearing sciences from the University at Buffalo in 2010 and has worked in school and ABA settings. She passed the North Carolina board exam and earned her assistant certification in 2025.

Likely the first voice you'll hear when you call.
With us since 2003Crystal is from Wilmington and earned her social work degree from UNC Wilmington in 2002. She worked with local children through the school system and with at-risk youth before joining OT Solutions. She runs day-to-day operations, handles insurance questions, and is who most families talk to first.
You’ll see two kinds of credentials above. Licensed therapists — OTR/L for occupational therapy, CCC-SLP for speech — evaluate your child and write the plan of care. Certified assistants — COTA and SLPA — carry out that plan and work directly under a licensed therapist’s direction. Every child’s care is led by a licensed therapist.
Our therapists train year-round, so the approaches we use keep up with the research.
